Viva Las Vegas!

Oh, it was only a few days ago, but the memories are making me smile already!
These pictures are in backwards chronological order: Me with our last shared margarita of the night waiting for the monorail to take us back to our hotel...

About to spend too much money at the Cesars Forum Shops.

We stopped in the coke store mainly to take a picture with this bear...we also went in the M and M store..which really smells delicious!

Me and my roommate from college Megan. We were fresh of the plane, and at Jimmy Buffetts Magaritaville--it was attached to our hotel!

I only lost three dollars (ha, and only gambled three), but I had a great time with my girlfriends and ate some AMAZING food.

I did try to go prepared, so I took 3 LARABAR's with me, and some apples, and they did come in handy in the afternoon for snacks when my blood sugar was plummeting. Aside from those not very much was consumed in the way of healthy food. But it was delicious! And we walked and walked and walked. So while I didn't get in any cardio...I def. didn't feel like a slug! although, enough that I was too scared to get on the scale yesterday to view the damage. So, back to on track this week!

I didn't take any pictures of the food I ate but I will tell you about this AMAZING meal I had at Wolfgang Pucks Bar and Grill!

For an appetizer we ordered Bleu Cheese Potato chips....which were really thin slices of potatoes fried with a bleu cheese sauce drizzle with chunks..amazing.

I had Ricotta Gnocchi with Fennel Sausage Bolognese for dinner, also amazing. I almost ordered the squash ravioli with Duck in brown butter..but opted against it, as i'm not a fan of duck. My friend ordered it though, and if I ever go back...I'm getting that!

We then split two desserts: chocolate souffle and this banana creme brulee thing....and both were seriously two of the best deserts I've had ever.
I would have gone to Vegas for this meal alone!

I am happy to be home with my husband..I missed him AND eating veggies!

Looks like you had a lot of fun! There is nothing like a girls weekend. Those blue cheese chips from Wolfgangs sound amazing!

On another note, I've totally missed your daily blogs. Nice to have you back!

Did you stay at the Flamingo? I am getting married in the Gazebo chapel in November there, so if you did, I was just wondering what you thought of the place? Thanks!

Sarah-
We did stay at the Flamingo! I didn't get a chance to see the gazebo, but the outside court-yard area looks really pretty!
I thought it was pretty nice casino...def. not all chic like the Bellagio or Venetian, but it was still pretty nice, and set up well, aslo, lots of pretty pink areas!

Sweet. That's good to hear! A few people I know have been to Vegas, but no one stayed there, so it's nice to hear that it's okay. I was a little nervous because it's an older place. Thank you!
