Heaven..I'm in Heaven....

So my husband and I enjoyed a fabulous four day weekend, and the last thing we wanted to do was leave our warm house and go grocery shopping, but we did. We didn’t need that much stuff, actually we are doing something similar to Kath’s November Challenge, but I’ll go into that later.

So, we get to the store, and we don’t go to our normal (Read discount) store, because it is always insane busy unless you go before 10am, or at midnight (it is open 24 hours so that is a bonus). While Scott was perusing the wine section (he hates wine actually, but he made a bet with a coworker about a football game and lost) I went in search of peanutbutter….and THIS IS WHAT I FOUND!!!!!

(side note, yes my kitchen is red)
I seriously did a happy dance in the store. My little Idaho stores NEVER have the cool food that other bloggers post about! We don’t have a Whole Foods, or a Trader Joes. I always get super excited when I find things like Greek Yogurt or new flavors of Larabars. There are SO MANY MORE products I wish I could find, but alas…..this was a great find! I know Jenna had the same discovery in her small hometown just last week (or maybe it was the week before) anyway, I was so excited. And even though this tiny jar was almost $6.00…..I bought it. And it is so worth it. So far I’ve had it plain on a spoon, on a French toast with a cut up banana, and on whole wheat toast with banana for breakfast, just this morning. I can’t wait to try it mixed in with my oats!
I was a little skeptical about the health value, but for a minimal number of ingredients (I think it has five or six) and less calories and fat that my normal natural peanut butter, I was pleasantly surprised.
The thing I like most about it, is that it isn’t over poweringly sweet. It has hints of chocolate and doesn’t taste like plain peanutbutter, but it doesn’t taste like chocolate frosting either (which is what it looks like). And that is a good thing for me, I might eat it flat out with a spoon, half a jar at a time if it did taste like dessert!

I might have to try this stuff! I saw it last week at the grocery, but I was afraid it would taste like frosting so I didn't get it. Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend :)
